What has been the oddest/most unique place you've changed an insulin pump/cgm site?

This popped into my head today when I decided to change my CGM site at work, so it would be up and running for this evening.  At work there are no offices, only open cube space, so I decided to use the "sick room" for a few minutes.

I've heard of people changing on trains, at train stations -- what have been some of your funny/odd/extreme experiences with this?

What a fun question!!!!  I once had my Medtronic pump site go wiggy on me, while I was at a meeting at the Medtronic office.  So I changed my site out in their bathroom.  I know that isn't that funny, but I guess it's pretty unique if you think about how many customers they have and how few have ever changed a pump site in the Medtronic offices.

Definitely a unique experience! And sort of funny if you think about it....
I guess my most unique place was in a clients bathroom-  nothing too exciting :) but it was cool educating my client about what T1D is!

I had to answer this one!  Last year we were in Europe with another couple we're friends with.  We were staying in Paris (ooh lala).  One morning I changed out my site and we went to the train station.  We were scheduled for a full day tour of the D - Day sites in Northern France.  A few hours later on the train, I didn't feel right.  Checked my bg and it was in the 400's!  Bad site.  I knew I had to change but I didn't want to change in the dirty restroom of a moving train.  I had our friends sit in the row in front of us, my husband on the aisle and me against the window.  With them acting as a barrier from curious stares, I quickly changed out my site.  Probably the fastest I've ever done it.  I've had to change in a hurry before, just never such a public site!

A mexican restaurant! I pulled up my insulin right at the table. I did go into the bathroom for my site insertion because I was pretty sure the patrons did not want to see my chunky love handles. My husband said I looked like a drug addict because I was flicking the syringe to get out the bubbles. Did I care? Nope! Gotta take care of myself!

At the Vatican. I was vacationing in Rome, Italy. The excitement of travel and time difference between there and Eastern Daylight Time threw me off. I had forgotten to change out my pump and it starting beeping it's CARTRIDGE EMPTY, NO DELIVERY alarm while I was standing in line waiting to go into the Vatican with my tour group. I pulled out my emergency kit, and got my traveling companions to hold things while I changed out my pump without getting out of line.

I recently changed at my kids' pediatrician's office while we were waiting to see the doctor. Our pediatrician knows I'm diabetic and on a pump and didn't bat an eyelash while my husband wrangled our kiddo and I fiddled with the pump and port site and what not. :)

Just after last thanksgiving I was traveling with a friend to see another friend in Canada. We were driving to the Montreal area. somewhere in upper state New York, my site went bad and I had to change it while my friend was driving with me riding shotgun.
