I felt like this resource did a good job of describing the types of eating disorders patients with diabetes might encounter.  I would've liked to seen more guidance on how to get help if someone has an eating disorder.  In  my opinion, just a sentence stating that help is available and recovery is possible isn't enough.

I'm very disappointed in the ADA for the lack of information and resources that they provide on this issue. I have tried to collaborate with them many, many times and they have never budged on their choice to not include important resources like We Are Diabetes and Diabulimia Helpline on this page. These are the organizations that are actually helping diabetics find treatment for their eating disorder!

I've just read this excellent, fascinating, and brand new book from one of the top experts in the field, Dr. Ann Goebel-Fabbri, in Boston, MA. If you are interested in how 25 women with Type 1 have recovered from their eating disorders, these experiences will open your heart and mind.

Here's the info: Prevention and Recovery from Eating Disorders in Type 1 Diabetes: Injecting Hope                    by Ann Goebel-Fabbri. Routledge Publishers 2017
