Neuropathy or hot flashes

I just read that neuropathy symptoms can include temperature variation - hot an cold. So how can I tell if it's a hot flash or side effect of neuropathy?

That's an interesting question that I hadn't thought about before.  I've been assuming my hot flashes are due to hormone fluctuations of perimenopause.  Maybe I should discuss with my doctor to be sure it isn't neuropathy.

Wow, I did not know that.  Will look into it.  I have had quite a few 'hot flashes' lately.  I hope that's not a sign that my condition is progressing.  My A1C is getting better so I thought neuropathy was not an issue.  Another set of questions for my next visit to my doctor.
