I found tip 2 (smart packaging) helpful. I organize meds in a weekly pill organizer with removable sections, one for each day of the week. The removable sections enable me to pop out the days I need when I go out of town for a weekend. I also use tip 1, making it a part of my routine - right before I go to bed. If my short term memory fails me as it does more and more these days, I just look at the pill organizer. If its Monday, and the Monday section is empty, then I know I took them.
