I will admit, I'm a huge coffee addict. While I like to say I only drink one cup a day, the reality is that my coffee mug is so oversized that it fits the equivalent of 5 cups from my coffee pot.
Anyway, this article about coffee and diabetes caught my eye at A Sweet Life:
It seems that although the evidence isn't concrete, coffee drinkers may have decreased risk of many health conditions including Type 2 diabetes and heart disease.
I'm happy to keep drinking my coffee, but I should mention that it does raise my blood sugar. A CDE helped me determine that the caffeine is the cooperate and we worked out an insulin dosage to go with my coffee. Does anyone else here take insulin for a coffee spike?
